I have a new Aquaponics system (only some months old), and trying with cherry tomatoes. They go extremely slow, anybody tried Cherrie tomatoes at his system and how they did?

All the plant is going slow or only the fruit? If only the fruit then your water lucks of trace elements like phosphate or potassium. If all the plant is going slow then your AP lucks of nutrients. What about your waters results?

Dont have a kit, I’ve heard they are not so accurate, I had aquariums for many years though with no problems.

I see no reason why the cherry tomatoes will not grow in AP system! For any case you should buy a test kit, the cost is low and can give you some ideas if something is going wrong.

From my personal experience I advise you to wait little bit, I had tomatoes in an AP system of 3 months and they were not doing well, after the 6 months past they started to do great, my cherry tomatoes now have more fruits than leaves, and producing non stop for 2 months so far.
